How to withdraw from employment provident fund?
Due to covid-19 pandamic the government of India has announced that anyone can withdraw a certain amount from their employment provident fund.
Eligibility for withdrawal from EPF-
1.universal account number must be activated.
2.Aadhaar number should be verified and linked with UAN.
3.Bank account of EPF memeber with correct IFSC should be seeded with with UAN.
No documents are to be submitted for withdrawal. However, an individual must keep the scanned copy of cheque ready as this will have to be uploaded while applying for withdrawal from EPF account online.
Here are some steps to be followed for withdrawal-
Step 1-Visit the Member e-Sewa portal: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Step 2-sign in to your account by entering your UAN, password and captcha code.
Step 3-Go to Online services and select claim (Form -31, 19,10C and 10D)
Step 4- now a new webpage will appear that willing show your birth date, Aadhaar details etc. The webpage will also shows your account details, enter the last 4 digits of your bank account and click to verify, a pop -up will appear asking you for undertaking.
Step 5-once your entered 4 digits of bank account verified, then click on proceed for online claim.
Step 6-from drop down menu,you will be requiresd to select PF advance (form 31).
Step 7-from drop down menu you you will be required to select the purpose of withdrawal(outbreak of pendamic (covid-19).
Step 8-enter the amount you required and upload the scanned copy of cheque and enter your address.
Step 9-a one time password (otp) will be sent on your mobile number registered with your aadhaar .
Step 10-enter the OTP received by you via sms.
Once the OTP successfully submitted, your withdraw request will be submitted.the money will be credited only if the details match and claim accepted by EPFO.
Withdraw via umang app-
Step 1-login to umang app.
Step 2-select EPFO.
Step 3-select 'employee centric services'.
Step 4-select 'raise claim'.
Step 5-enter UAN details and click on get OTP.
Step 6- enter OTP and click on log in.once your logged in enter your last four digits of your bank account and select the member I'd from drop down menu.click on 'proceed for claim'.
Step 7- enter your address and click on 'next'.
Step 8-upload scanned copy of cheque and your claim will be filled successfully.
